General
The general overall quality was better than I had been told by hearsay.
Excellent craniums, muzzles generally good - broad shape, not pointed or
triangular - a little abbreviated in some cases leaving need for fill-in
under eyes, resulting in too much wrinkle. Pleased to see good neck
lengths, and good substance.
General top lines good, some high rears, but no swaybacks. Fronts and
brisket good, as was side movement. Coming and going some dogs a little
close. Disappointed with feet. Many splayed, east-west and quite a few with
twisted toes - mainly front - couldn't chase the poacher! Several dogs with
rounds eyes, tail carriages were good, some tails a little short. All
round, good exhibition of dogs.

1ST - KUGEL POSSUM BOURNE
03 A very nice young promising dog of this age. A good square body, Nice
head and width of muzzle, nice solid substance. Hocks in a little bit at
the moment but presume that's because of his age and he'll get rid of that
later, but a very nice young promising dog.
MINOR PUPPY DOG
1ST - NASCADE SUPREME
04 Good head, muzzle a little long at this age, but this will take effect
when the head grows in to it. High in the rear end once again due to age.
Feet could be tighter. When he moves away he is close in at hocks
2ND - ABLAMOR OWENS OF ARON
05 Muzzles a little too short, nice cubed head though, nice square body.
Doesn't move very well. Better feet than no. 4
PUPPY DOG
1ST - BULLESTATE BULLZEYE
06 Good head, typical of the breed. nice wide flat muzzle, could be a
little wider but that will come with age. Nice neck,good shoulder, front
feet a little easty west. Bit long in the loin, little high in the rear.
Moves away very nicely - has good bullmastiff drive. Will be a nice dog
when he grows up.
2ND - WETHABY ALRIGHT GOVERNOR
07 Good head but the muzzle lacks a lot. It's very narrow, triangular
shaped which really doesn't give benefit to the head of the dog. Straight
in front shoulders, straight in the rear, but the dog itself is square.
This dog also moves away very close at the rear

1ST - OPALGUARD DIGNIFIDO (Imp Aust)
08 Very good example of breed type. Good solid cubed head, good muzzle,
would prefer a little more mask. Good dark eyes - he is correct size, good
shoulder. Front feet a little east west. Good depth of brisket, nice
square dog. Sufficient angulation of the rear; would prefer a little longer
tail but the dog itself is a square dog, well-moving
2nd - STOREYLINE CHALLENGE
09 Good example of breed type. Fairly substantial - good substance,
good bone. Too much wrinkle in the muzzle. Good clear red ears, nice
angle of shoulder. East West in the front, little long in the loin. Moves
away very close in, little short on the tail
INTERMEDIATE DOG
1ST - CH KUGEL RM WILLIAMS
11 Very good example of breed type, nice muzzle, wide nostrils, good
head. Good angle in the front shoulder. Feet a little east west again.
Topline a little up at the rear, little long in the loin. Good angulation
moves away true in very, very well, has good suspension. Too DC in the
back end
2ND - CH BROOKPARK MERLIN
14 Good example of breed type, good head, lesser bite, all undershot.
Good front, good shoulder. A little long in the loin. moves very nicely,
though not quite as nice as dog no. 11
3RD KUGEL JESSIE JAMES
12 Good example of breed type, nice and square. Lacks substance for his
age. Good head, good muzzle, nice eyes, good size of ear. Moves away
substantially well A little short in the tail, a little bully.
4TH - ZERO OF BLACKSMEAR
13 Straight in shoulder, square dog, straight in stifle. Lacks
pigmentation in the nails. Muzzle is abbreviated, triangular muzzle, light
eyes.
NZ BRED DOG
1ST - CH KUGEL BARBERIC ROBT E LEE
15 Good solid breed type, good bone and substance. Correct head and
muzzle, ears a little large and tips rounded. Correct shoulder with good prosternum
and brisket. Little long in the flank and slightly high in the rear but
good second thigh development. Moves well from side, a little close going
away, better coming. Feet a little loose, front feet turning out a little.
Nice dog. Gives impression that he owns what he stands on.
So sorry but the recorder eat the tape and the rest of the NZ Bred Dog critiques were lost.

1ST - AUST CH COPPERFIELD CAPT TAUNTON OF GRAECIA (Imp UK)
21 Good example of breed type. Excellent head, ear size, good muzzle,
wide flared nostrils, Eyes = correct type of eyes, not too much flew, could
do with a little bit more angulation in the shoulder, but otherwise not too
bad. Good front feet, nice level topline, good square dog, necessary
angulation in the rear. Good pasterns, nice high set on his tail.
2ND - CH KUGEL MADE IN THE USA
20 A good breed type, excellent head, muzzle is a little pinched under
the eyes which gives a triangular formation of the muzzle at the front.
Good open nostrils. Excellent lay of shoulder, feet not too good. Little
long in the loin, little heavy, good angulation in the rear, moves pretty
well, good suspension but not as good as the previous dog no 21.
3RD - CH BROOKPARK PLAYBOY
22 A game little dog, good breed type good head, eyes a little large and
round. Doesn't move too well. Could do with more substance and maturity
in his body. His tail is a little short and lacking a little development
in his second thigh.

27 Excellent example of breed type, good head. Lovely wide depth of
muzzle; wide all the way to the head, will make a beautiful dog when she
grows up. Good shoulder, lots of substance. Very good feet. Nice and
square, correct length of tail, good angulation of the rear. Very nice dog
indeed.
2ND - CASTLECLIFF MATA HARI
25 Good young brindle. Short as far as maturity as brindles often do.
Good head, good muzzle. Moves nicely, nice feet, very good feet. Almost
square, little short in tail but good angulation at rear.
3RD - BULLESTATE MOON SHADOO
24.Good head but muzzle a little triangular and flat in the front, little
high in the rear, little straight in the shoulder. Moves pretty well.
4TH - KUGEL TO THE MAX
25.Has a lot of growing to do. The head and muzzle are arguing with each
other and her fronts a little straight but good feet, good pasterns, nice
and square. Good angulation at the rear. Won't move properly just yet.

1ST - ABLAMOR FLEUR-DE-LIS
30.Excellent example of a little female bullmastiff. Good head, good
muzzle, nice bite, ears correct size. Beautiful angulation of the front
shoulder. Nice and square, good substance for this age. Tail correct, nice
angulation of the rear.
2ND - NASCADE SERENITY
28.The head and the muzzle are both good but not in proportion to each
other. The neck; very nice neck on this dog, very nice shoulder, feet
aren't so good as the previous dog no. 30. Little long in the loin, little
high in the rear. Good length of tail, good angulation.
3RD - ABLAMOR FLORISDELFA
29 Needs a lot of growing up yet. Muzzle is quite short in proportion to
the head, which is a good head, abbreviated mask. The neck is a little
straight. Good shoulder, but needs a lot more substance and bone. Tails a
little short. Moves rather sloppy from the rear.
PUPPY BITCH
1ST - WETHABY DUST TO DIAMONDS
35 This is a very immature example of breed type with quite a lot to
improve on. It's head is a little narrow, especially the muzzle. Good
dark eyes, a little large but head out of proportion at this age.
Shoulder cramped at angle. Bit long in the body, little high in the rear.
Straight in the rear and quite underdeveloped in the second thigh. Good
feet all round.
2ND - BULLESTATE SPOOKS LITTLE BOO
34 Excellent head and muzzle, beautiful big thick teeth, good neck, nice
shoulder on it and good feet, but very short in the body and very straight
in the rear. Dog may be square but needs more angulation which interferes
with movement hence the second placing from no. 35.
JUNIOR BITCH
1ST - CH KUGEL BRAVE NANCY WAKE
38.. Good breed type. Good head, nice muzzle - good width of muzzle all
the way under the eyes, nice dark eyes. Good neck, good shoulders. Feet a
little east west but not too bad. Dog could be a little shorter in loin,
excellent back feet and angulation. Good length of tail, very nice mover
2ND - CH STOREYLINE WITCHE'S BREW
37 Very nice breed type. Good head but muzzle is a little pointed. Good
flare of nostrils, but needs more filling under the eyes. Because of the
lack of fill in there is too much wrinkle. Good head, good shoulders, nice
topline, moves very nicely, but not as good as 38
INTERMEDIATE BITCH
1ST STONE MAIDEN OF GLAMIS
41. Nice example of breed type in a bitch. Nice muzzle, good square muzzle,
nice flared nostrils, a little abbreviated in mask, pigmentation missing in
the nails both front and back . Nice feet, good angle of shoulder. Good
topline, level topline, good angulation and development in the back rear.
2ND - CH BLACKMASK AMANDA
38 Good head but muzzle isn't quite up to par. Good flared nostrils, but
it needs a little fill in under the eyes, little too much wrinkle. Good
neck and angle of shoulder. A little high at the rear. Rear angulations
not too bad, tail is about right
3RD - HOT ONE OF BLACKSMEAR
43 Good head but muzzle is far too short and pointed. Needs filling under
the mask - is a triangular muzzle. Moves pretty well. Good pigmentation
in front nails, good topline.>
4TH - BLAZON DRAGONSTORM
42 A nice brindle but a little immature in both substance and bone. Good
head, muzzle is a little shallow, good nostril, needs a little breadth to
the muzzle. Feet at the front need improvement and needs more brisket and
substance.
5TH - CH BULLESTATE CRUZE CONTROL
44 Good nice cubed head but muzzle is far, far too short and far too
abbreviated giving a tremendous amount of wrinkle in the muzzle and lots of
dewlap. Earset is very low. Front feet are OK but pigmentation missing.
Good neck and nice square dog. Little straight in the rear, little short
in the tail
6TH - RANGATIRA RED BEAUTY
45 Nice red dog, good eyes, narrow in the head, narrow in the muzzle -
too much flew. Angle of shoulder is not too bad. Tends to crab when
moving. Good pigmentation, good topline, little straight in the rear but
nice feet all round
NZ BRED BITCH
1ST - CH NASCADE MAIDEN IMAGE
47 Nice well developed female with good substance, good bone, nice neck,
nice square dog. Little straight in the rear end here, good feet lacking
pigmentation on nails, moves very nicely though. Nice wide head, muzzle
needs a little filling in under the eyes but otherwise a good type of
muzzle - good breed type

1ST - CH BLAZON MISS BEHAVIN
48 Nice dog with good substance, good breed type. Nice cubic head, ears
not too bad, little large. Muzzle is in correct proportion, nice and
square - good width all the way to the head. Good dark eye. Lacks a
little pigmentation in the nails but square dog otherwise. Developed in
the rear end, moves nicely
2ND - NZ CH GRASSLOCK STELLA POLARIS (Imp Aust)
46 Really nice girl; nice breed type. It's a shame she's out of
condition because of the puppies. The undercarriage is nothing to do with
it but there is obvious moulting and therefore gives the body poor
appearance. A nice shoulder though, nice front end. Head is a good size.
Muzzle tends to be a little narrow although goes all the way back A little
more flew than I like to see. Muzzle a little short but a well shaped dog.
Nice rear end, nice back feet.
3RD - NZ CH OLDWORLD SHADY LADY ELLE (Imp Aust)
38 Good, well developed dog. I would say reasonable breed type. Front
is a little straight, good cubic head but muzzle is a little short and a
little pointed and also the mask is a abbreviated giving a lot of shortness
to the nose and wrinkle to the head. Good topline, tail is a little short,
to me a little bully in appearance. Second thigh is nicely developed,
good feet all round but lacks pigmentation
